Copyright complaints (DMCA)

Last updated:

We respect intellectual property rights. All images on Nijihen are AI-generated and every character is a fictional adult (18+), but if you believe a gallery copies your copyrighted work, send a notice by email to [email protected]. Valid notices are acted on promptly.

Your notice must include

Because there is no report form, send the following by email:

  1. Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  2. The name of the copyright owner, and your relationship to the owner if you act on their behalf.
  3. A description of the copyrighted work (title, author, publisher, and where it is published).
  4. The address (URL) or ID of each gallery concerned, for example https://nijihen.com/g/123456/, and how it copies the work.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
  7. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send a copyright notice

What happens next

We review the notice and, if it is valid, remove the gallery (and every translation of it) from the site. A removed gallery answers “410 Gone”, its images are deleted from our storage and caches, and the work is blocked from being imported again.

Counter-notice

If you believe a work was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with the gallery ID, your contact details, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the removal was a mistake or misidentification. We will review it and may reinstate the work.

False notices

Knowingly sending a false notice can make you liable for damages. If you are not sure that a work infringes, seek legal advice first.
